Ogilvy Awards 2008

Named after advertising legend David Ogilvy, The ARF David Ogilvy Awards annually celebrate his spirited advocacy of research in making good advertising better. The awards were inspired in 1993 when Coca-Cola sought help in integrating research into their advertising development process, so successful were the process and results, even the creative agencies embraced it. Thus were born the awards.


Digital Direct reached a close second place, only to be beaten by industry giants Wal-Mart in the Retail/E-Tail category in the ARF David Ogilvy Awards 2008 held at the Marriot, Broadway, New York.


Digital Directís case study entitled: Integrating Technology in a Price Driven Market was put together with their award winning digital marketing agency. The report focused on how it could improve Digital Directís brand awareness online and improve sales.


The results of the campaign provided the following achievements:


The close working relationship with its agency has ensured a high sales increase as well as catapulting Digital Directís web presence beyond expectations. Digital Direct is exceptionally pleased with the online marketing results to date and looking forward to hopefully winning this category in the future.
