Resolution+ Near HD TV’s – Step by Step
1. A standard definition (SD) image from one’s DVD, games console, laptop/PC, MP3 player, aerial or digital set top box is received and upscaled to near HD quality.
2. The newly Upscaled picture is then down converted to SD quality to compare the newly created SD image to the first SD input signal.
3. Differences between the downscaled image and the original image are found and eliminated. This procedure of Upscaling and downscaling takes place three times, all in real time, so no holdup can be seen.
4. On the last rotation, an SD image is output at near to HD quality, ending in a sharper, richer, clearer image.
Texture - Images are analyzed and improved to provide better texture and depth to the ending picture.
Edges - neighboring areas of an image are analyzed and pixels of a comparable waveform merged to provide a more distinct edge detail.
